Hoole Christmas Lights Returns in 2026
Hoole Christmas Lights will return on Saturday 14 November 2026. The lights switch-on will take place at Hoole Community Centre, with the festive display running along Faulkner Street and Charles Street.
More information on the programme, fundraising, local businesses and ways to get involved will be shared in the lead-up to the event.

A New Home for Hoole Christmas Lights
In 2025, Hoole Christmas Lights moved the switch-on celebration to Hoole Community Centre. The event created a safer, more community-focused way to celebrate while helping raise funds to keep the Christmas lights shining.
The lights continued to brighten Faulkner Street and Charles Street throughout the festive season.

Preparing Hoole’s Lights for Another Christmas
Ahead of Hoole Christmas Lights 2025, the team carried out early-morning safety checks on the catenary wires and their safety wires across the display route.
The bolts and fittings were tested as part of the annual preparation work, helping make sure the lights could be installed and enjoyed safely. Work then began on fixing the wires and panels in readiness for the switch-on.
Thank you to local pedestrians, businesses, drivers and delivery teams for their patience while this work took place.

Safety Testing for the Christmas Lights Display
A pull test was carried out on the mounting points used for the cross-street wires, as part of the safety checks for the Hoole Christmas Lights display.
This specialist equipment helps confirm that the mounting points are safe and ready for the festive lights to be installed.

We were delighted to welcome once again, the team from Dee 106.3 as part of Hoole Christmas Lights 2025. The station joined the community celebrations and helped bring the switch-on event to life.
